Heart Nebula

Heart Nebula

The Heart Nebula (IC 1805) is a glowing emission region, located roughly 7,500 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. Its distinctive heart-shaped outline is sculpted by the intense radiation and stellar winds from the young, massive stars of the open cluster Melotte 15 at its centre.
